August 2016

Many gaming fans can empathize with the feeling of being so infatuated with a fictional setting that they’d love nothing more than to travel to their fantasy worlds and interact with all the characters, places, and creatures that made them fall in love with it in the first place. This was certainly true for game developer Eric Torres, who has spent the last 10 years bringing his own fantasy world to life with his game and book series set in the mystical land of Rynaga.

At some point game designer Guy Walker realized that he wanted to liven up the dinner parties he hosted for his friends and family. An avid fan of party games like Cards Against Humanity, he sought to create something of his own.

Hyperbole Games has a new game available for pre-order, Asmodee has announced a new game in the Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective game line, and BoardGameGeek is running a survey for its front page redesign.

From gods battling it out through rock and roll, to a game that only costs a dollar, this month’s Kickstarters have a little something of everything.

Codenames: Pictures has a release month, Gen Con gets recapped, and Asmodee iis n talks with F2Z Entertainment.
