Ticket to Ride: Heart of Africa

A new map expansion for Ticket to Ride has just been released: The Heart of Africa. It can be played with either the original Ticket to Ride or Ticket to Ride: Europe. The game comes with a new map of central and southern Africa, along with 45 new terrain cards that can be used to double the value of certain routes “if you play your cards right.”

New casual games on iOS this month include For the Win from Tasty Minstrel Games, Fluxx from Looney Labs, and Stronghold Games is releasing a timer app that can be used with several of their current board games.

Cybergecko publishes TAK-TYX, which is a series of postcard sized mini-games. Each one has its own unique artwork and rule set. They have released an exclusive holiday game for this series and you can get yours for free. All you have to do is send them an email and request it before this promotion ends. “Can you deliver Xmas toys and defeat the rogue Santa?”

ChiTAG (The Chicago Toy and Game Fair) just celebrated their tenth anniversary this year during the fair which was held November 14-18.
