FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TUCSON, Arizona – July 18, 2013 – After only eight days, Casual Game Insider magazine has exceeded its $15,000 funding goal on Kickstarter and is now reaching for higher stretch goals. If achieved, the additional funding at the $30,000 and $50,000 levels will allow the publisher to include more content, increase distribution of free printed copies to up to 3,000 game stores, and provide a rich mobile experience on iOS, Android, and Kindle devices.
“We are very pleased with the tremendous response we have received early on in the campaign,” said Chris James, editor-in-chief and program director. “Now that our magazine production is funded for a second year, we hope to achieve our higher funding goals so we can add even more value to our content and distribution network.”
Casual Game Insider is the board game industry's only magazine that focuses on casual games that are easy to learn, quick to play, and are accessible to everyone. The magazine features news, reviews, and many interesting articles related to casual gaming, and is currently distributed quarterly to over 2,000 board game retailers and hundreds of paid subscribers.
"Our early success with the Kickstarter campaign demonstrates the high demand for content that is focused on casual games,” remarked Melanie James, associate director. “We are excited to continue to serve a rapidly-growing audience of casual gamers.”
