FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TUCSON, Arizona – July 8, 2013 – After a successful first year, the publishers of Casual Game Insider magazine are returning to Kickstarter to gather support for a second year of publication, as well as potential digital distribution opportunities. The Kickstarter campaign is scheduled to run from July 8 to August 9, 2013, and includes rewards for readers, retailers, and sponsors.
"It has been a very rewarding first year, and the response we have received for our magazine has been amazing," said editor-in-chief and program director, Chris James. "By turning again to Kickstarter, we hope to reach more subscribers than ever before for both print and digital magazine formats, perhaps even expanding into Apple, Android, and Amazon marketplaces if the campaign proves successful enough."
Casual Game Insider is the board game industry's only magazine that focuses on casual games that are easy to learn, quick to play, and are accessible to anyone. The magazine features news, reviews, and many interesting articles related to casual gaming, and is distributed quarterly to over 2,000 board game retailers in addition to a growing number of paid subscribers.
"We truly believe we have found a much needed angle on board games," said associate director, Melanie James. "Where most board game sources focus on more hardcore gaming and dismiss casual games as second rate, we have set out to reach a large and rapidly growing audience of enthusiastic casual gamers who are either new to gaming or appreciate simplicity in their games. We, ourselves, are passionate about casual games and wish to reach others who share the same interests."
Casual Game Insider is published by Casual Game Revolution, the industry outreach arm of Stratus Games LLC. Casual Game Revolution was founded in 2012 and is based out of Tucson, Arizona.
