Cheapass Games

From social deduction to deck-builders, this month’s Kickstarter offers games based off of video games and fictional board games in books.

Have you ever tried to explain how a game works without any visual aids or a copy of the game itself? More often than not it was probably a pretty frustrating experience depending on the complexity of the game. Well the designers at Cheapass Games not only had to explain their newest game Tak in that way, but they had to explain it to its original creator, author Patrick Rothfuss.

Ghostbusters: The Board Game already has $400,000 pledged on Kickstarter, Victory Point Games is having a Valentine’s Sale, and Cheapass Games has released two new free print-and-plays.

This month brings a little bit of everything, including Tasty Minstrel’s first co-op board game, some fun looking party games, a unique cube building game, and 10 micro dice games that fit in one conveniently sized box. There’s definitely something for everyone on Kickstarter this month.

Game Salute releases microgame Tattletale this week, Bananagrams WildTiles is now available in Target stores, and Cheapass Games is offering a free print-and-play beta version of their game Stuff and Nonsense.

A lot of games are hitting Kickstarter these days, and casual games are no exception. Over the last year, we have seen amazing growth in the number of high quality casual games hitting the crowdfunding scene. After many hours of research on the games being funded this month, we are happy to present to you our crowdfunding favorites for November 2013!
