Seven Games: A Human History Book Review
Meeple Mountain has posted a review of a unique book about board games. "Roeder provides a brief history of each of the seven games he covers (Checkers, Chess, Go, Backgammon, Poker, Scrabble, and Contract Bridge) and then focuses in on a single person, someone who became obsessed with the game—and had the programming skills to create a computer program capable of playing the game. And beating human opponents."

Cascadia (The Board Game Family): “We’ve played games back-to-back many times because of how much we enjoy playing. Plus, the game is very easy to reset to play again. Just flip over all the tiles, shuffle them around, places all the wildlife tokens back in the bag, randomly select a scoring card for each animal and we’re ready to play again.”

Diatoms (Tabletop Games Blog): “I certainly think Diatoms is the perfect game for people who love pattern-matching, puzzly styles of games. Despite there having been so many titles in the last 12 months, this game has managed to find a gap and offers a different experience.”
