Fantasy takes center stage this month, with magical creatures inhabiting dungeons, attacking cities, and even playing a few rounds of baseball.

Dice games are nicely represented this month, with three games on Kickstarter that feature various amounts of rolling the dice. Between that, looting vaults, and pitching films in a party game for 4 to 10 players, this month offers a wide variety of casual games seeking funding on Kickstarter.

This is the month for cooperative games on Kickstarter, with three of them making this month’s roundup. Also present is a two-player strategy game, and a tribute to 80s' horror films.

One of the best tools in gaming's arsenal to expand the range of people playing games is an engaging theme. A game may be incredibly well designed, but it's hard to tell that from the box, and so its theme often has to do the heavy lifting of drawing in potential players.

This is a month for fun thematic mechanics such as spiders joining cults and Krakens patrolling the oceans. Also, this month brings us the campaign for Tabletopia, a digital platform for playing and publishing board games.

This is the month for lovers of card games and deck builders or just people who love some awesome animal artwork in their games.
