The coins in the vault are getting restless because no one is using them anymore. They have decided that they need to find out, once and for all, which is better: heads or tails? The heads and tails get in position to battle against the other team — but only one will remain as the ultimate champion.

Coin Combat is a quick strategy game with similarities to chess. Both players use their coins, which have different movement abilities, to capture their opponent’s coins and ultimately try to checkmate their opponent’s Quarter. Players identify their own coins based on which side is face-up (heads or tails).

Coin Combat was originally published in the Winter 2023 issue of Casual Game Insider. It was designed by Chris James (Editor-in-Chief of Casual Game Revolution), with graphic design by Gregg Lewis-Qualls.
