Gates of Delirium Pre-Order
Renegade Game Studios has announced Gates of Delirium and made it available for pre-order. It will be released this October. "Players will have a hand of split action cards: one side sane, and the other insane. Every round, one player will decide if it is a sane or insane round, and all players must play that side of their cards. During sane rounds, players will be searching for maps and lost pages to a secret tome, while assigning investigators to help them in their cause. During insane rounds, players collect ancient runes and work to build Gates to release the monstrosities that their sane selves have been trying so hard to understand and prevent."

Translating Board Game Rules
The Opinionated Gamers has posted an in depth look at how they set about translating games they want to play when there are no English rules available and they don’t know the original language. "I mostly talk about what I do to cobble together English language translations for Japanese games when I don’t speak, read, or write any Japanese and where I also hope that some folks will chime in with what they used to do to play the German imports."

Reviews
Ubongo! (Sahm reviews): “It’s a quick game that can be played by young and old alike. Children learn the concept of tangrams during elementary school so this isn’t difficult to grasp for even the youngest of players. “

Escape From Iron Gate (Everything Board Games): “While it is most definitely a party game, the inclusion of the set-collection and hand-management mechanism was a pleasant surprise and added a strategic element to a party game. The ease of the puzzles, while a weakness in certain crowds, makes the game more accessible to players of different ages and abilities.”

Horrified (GeekDad): “The game’s variability and the very different ways each Monster plays ensures that the game won’t get stale. It’s definitely a fun addition to the cooperative genre, and hopefully will be more successful in keeping Universal’s Monsters in the cultural zeitgeist than the movies.”
