News Flash: You Lying Sack Announced, Wordle Board Game Released

You Lying Sack

New Game from Exploding Kittens
Exploding Kittens is partnering with the magician Penn Jillette, to make new party game, You Lying Sack, set to release in January. "The game revolves around an actual Lying Sack drawstring bag that players reach into retrieve either a Good Thing or Bad Thing in their clenched hand. They then bluff or tell the truth, baiting opponents to accept the item. If no one agrees to take the item from them, that player must keep it. The goal of the game is for players to avoid collecting 10 Bad Things, which would eliminate them from the game, and be the last player standing."

Wordle The Party Game Released
Hasbro has released a party game based on the popular online word game Wordle. "Each round, a player designated as the Wordle Host writes down a Secret Word. Just like the original Wordle game, players try to guess it in the few-est tries (six max). But in this game, players are competing against others. The fewer tries a player needs, the fewer points they score. The player with the fewest points at the end of the game wins!"

Reviews
The Three Little Wolves (Opinionated Gamers): “I think that this game does what it wants – providing a nice light family level game.  After experiencing it again after a few years away, it’s still enjoyable and a nice entry level game.  I still think this is a great game to have around after family dinners, birthday parties, etc.  Would definitely recommend it for similar gaming situations.”

Shaky Manor (What’s Eric Playing): “That said, this is a game that kids and parents and grandparents and anyone not fitting into those buckets can pretty effectively enjoy. You just shake the box until you’ve gotten what you want where you want. And, like any good speed-based game, the simple concept is a lot easier said than done.”

Silver (The Board Game Family): “It’s getting played over and over in our family as well as at the office. The light nature of the game, simple set up, and quick player turns all help make it such a draw.”
