A new year and a new batch of casual games hit Kickstarter.  From a couple of games with a horror theme, to abstract strategy games and light card games, there’s a wide range of choices this January.

Funnybone Toys has four new games announced for 2016, The Game Aisle takes a look at the trends at the NY Toy Fair, and Z-Man has posted an interview of Matt Leacock about Knit Wit.

The Guardian suggests some games to play this Christmas, Crash Games donates to Toys for Tots, and Dominion hits mobile devices.

Here is a list of our favorite crowdfunding projects for December 2013. This month, we're seeing evidence of the growing trend of microgames, a subset of casual games that are intended to be as portable as possible while still maintaining fun and challenging gameplay. There are also several other casual games of a wide variety of themes that seem to be worth checking out.
