NBC has announced that it will air a new series called Hollywood Game Night. The series has received an order for 8 episodes so far, which will feature the following:
A new map expansion for Ticket to Ride has just been released: The Heart of Africa. It can be played with either the original Ticket to Ride or Ticket to Ride: Europe. The game comes with a new map of central and southern Africa, along with 45 new terrain cards that can be used to double the value of certain routes “if you play your cards right.”
Tsuro: The Game of the Path is a quality casual game published by Calliope Games that has been in print for some time, yet nevertheless deserves a mention here if we are to call ourselves casual game enthusiasts. When explaining the concept of casual games back when we were first defining our cause, it was not uncommon to hear people say, "Oh, so a casual game is like Tsuro!"

Playing board games is a unique experience which is fun, satisfying, intriguing, and challenging. With the board gaming experience being so varied, it got me thinking about why people love them so much. I know why I love playing board games.
